Luke!

Currently restoring a beautiful window from 1876 featuring the Evangelists.
The glass on the left is the original piece which once would have depicted Luke ,but has now almost faded to nothing with age.
The glass I'm painting on the right is the new face which is put together by gathering as much of the sketchy info remaining on the surface of the original glass.
Once painted it will be plated onto the original antique glass and the windows re-assembled.
I will be undertaking glass painting of this kind as part of the Absent Voices stained glass workshops ,details of which will be announced soon.
