A Day Worth Recording

Whelmless

E had picked up a leaflet about some artistic illumination festival, "E-Luminate", going on in Cambridge, so we gathered in the centre after work to have a wander around and find somewhere to eat.

The lighting of the façade of Kings college was quite pretty. The others, ranging from an animated display on a wholly unsuitable wall of the senate house, through to the desperately exciting slow change of St John's from peach'y purple to purpl'y peach, were not so much underwhelming, more whelm-free.

Cupcake's illuminated art was considerably more interesting and innovative.

This one amused us. Described as...

"An interactive shop window display where three balloons and an LED strip come together to create new shapes of light."

...behind shutters.
