5 way crossroads

Thanks very much for your comments and stars on the coconut macaroons, I did write down the recipe in a reply to Evelyne's comment if you want to try baking them too.

The bathroom boiler in the house in Holland has packed it in, so the boys decided last night to spend the weekend here in Belgium for a hot shower or bath. And it actually was dry this afternoon, so we finally had a walk through the woods again. The two DJs (their initials, not their job function) are walking ahead of M and me and as you can see there is a 5 way crossroads ahead. I'm a colour girl usually, but in this case converting the image to a mono might show the paths better than the coloured version. But the colour version does show there was actually some sun a bit better :-)

We had to return home before the final speedskating races, where both the Dutch women's team and the Dutch men's team won a gold medal. The Dutch speed skaters have had such an incredible success at these Winter Games, 24 medals in all, 23 for the regular distances and 1 for the short track, really well done for such a small country. And no, it's not because all the Dutch are used to skate from town to town in winter, that's as much a myth as the boy saving the dyke by his finger :-)
