Flaming-o February

It wasn't quite as hot and exotic as this shot implies but it was certainly a beautiful day to be at Slimbridge. Lots of visitors making the most of a fine day, though the wind was bitterly cold at times.

Flamingoes, of course, don't really count on a birding list but still managed a creditable 33 species at least, including a fabulous view of a Sparrowhawk through someone's scope and a Crane which, whilst tagged, was not from the reserve.
