Learning day by day

Pull!

He tried really, really hard, but I doubt he will be King.

The morning started by bumping into Mickey in the foyer of the hotel! then we headed, in the drizzle down to the park for the magic hours and managed to do Buzz Lightyear ride twice, twice because after the ride stopped for a few minutes Carys and I had lasers that no longer worked. A quick word with a cast member and we were ushered back on again without waiting in any queue. Plus points to Disney for efficiency and customer service. We also managed to do the Horses, Snow White, Pinocchio and Orbitron before stopping for lunch. Café Argrabah did a great buffet. We had a very leisurely lunch, before heading over to the Studios.

Again we managed to time things right and with only a 10min wait we had a front row position for the Stars and Cars parade. It was smaller than the one in the main park, but still quite impressive. parade done we went to the Toy Story area to queue for the Toy Soldiers Parachute drop. What was supposed to be a 35min queue ended up being around 55mins as they stopped the ride for a while but no announcement was made to the people in the queue! Not good PR Disney. Anyhow, both children loved it and well I didn't, but I am happy to go on it so they could. Slinky Dog however was much more fun with a much shorter queue.

We thought we would see one of the shows, Cinemagique. that was a mistake, both kids were scared and wanted to leave. I know they are soft but a little more explanation of what it was about may have been useful. After that we came out into rain. Boo!

We did racing cars in the rain and got wet bums! Then we headed back to the main park and at the kids request went on Automania. Great in that the queue was undercover and really quite long, bad in that when it was our turns it was still raining and we got really quite wet. Wet as we were we decided that Dumbo couldn't make us any wetter and the queue was smaller than we had seen.

After that Jim and I made the executive decision to have food and head home early missing the light show. It was a good decision as W was getting a little tetchy. Kids asleep by 18.50 UK time adults not far behind!
