Rural Delivery, Gebbies Valley

To mix up the commute home tonight, I turned off the Akaroa Highway at Ahuriri Road and took the gravel road round the back towards Gebbies Valley.

I've never been around the backroad before, which considering all my time spent meandering around the Peninsula's many gravel roads is quite surprising. It's a nice drive, and the country has that yellow/brown summer tinge that many cantabs will be quite familiar with.

These mailboxes stand at the end of the backroad as it joins the Gebbies Pass Rd, just behind the Blue Duck Cafe. I love the view of Mount Bradley from here, standing imposingly above the McQueens and Gebbies Valleys.
