Out and About

Old & New

Tonbridge is a town of contrasts. This 1732 Grade II listed Kentish style tile hung building is occupied by a nail parlour. Next door is a purveyor of South African food.

The incongruous glass and bronze sculpture in the foreground represents the tributaries of the River Medway which flows through the town but I cannot find out when it was erected or why. I agree it looks out of place.
