Das Alte Rathaus (The Old Town Hall)

Blip on the run today, as I was out of the office prompt at 5 to get into town to meet G and then to the cinema.

Actually didn't have to be so quick as the cinema was only about a third full - it wasn't James Bond you see. But The Monuments Men was OK actually. I have a feeling that the book would be better. If I ever get round to reading anything again, I shall try that.

A bit of a day. Really. Filled with things that I quite liked.

"Rat" in German means "advice" or "counsel". They use this as a Registry Office now and it's not uncommon to see tables outside covered in glasses of Champers.

I quite like the cast iron postbox that you can see in the bottom left. Still used today.
