Pay it forward

Last week, a friend gave me this stone. It feels cool and smooth in the palm of my hand.

I once had a similar stone with the word 'courage' on it, and I gave it to someone who was about to do something she was worried about. She gave it back to me a couple of years later when she thought I needed it, and I have since passed it on to another friend. I wonder where it is now?
