stop

We had three sets of meetings today - all successful in their own way.

Site meeting this morning was over quickly. What a change to be working somewhere where people aren't coming in every five minutes telling you the noise is unacceptable and that you'll have to stop. As a result the walls are all up and vitually lined in the basement and the framing for the big wall by the stairs on the ground floor is made and ready to fix in place. Electrical first fix is progressing well and the other trades will start their first fix on Wednesday

We then had to dash over to Regents Park to meet with the Project Manager for that job. As we were rushing along one of the roads in the park this heron came out of one of the gaps in the hedge, at head height and came to rest on the road about twenty feet behind us. Much to Gareth's frustration, I had to get a couple of snaps on my phone. Even when I worked on the Three Mills site, where as many as half a dozen herons would settle on the wall at the edge of our yard in front of my office, I've never been that close to a heron. A very helpful meeting, which clarified so much for us - we've been working in a fog of conflicting stories on this job, trying to pick our way through different people's requests and not really knowing what to prioritise

Once we'd finished there, we had to go back to Chancery Lane to our final meeting about a third project - just to have a catch-up really to make sure we're all clear what's going on.

The only downside to today really was that I have come out of the meetings with a ton of paperwork to do by the end of the week
