Marischal College

Took this snap of the stunning Marischal College glistening in the afternoon sun as I made my way to a meeting in Aberdeen.
Owned by the University of Aberdeen, the building has been the HQ of the City Council since 2011 after a major renovation programme. A fitting home for the seat of local government in the "Oil capital of Europe".
The foundations of the building, that is considered by many Aberdonians to be the high point of the granite building industry, were laid in 1835. I would tend to agree with them. I haven't seen a more stunning building in Aberdeen.
