Blue and yellow

A beautiful spring morning, the woods resounding with bird song. Most of the resident species seem to be holding territories now. I'll be recording a breeding bird transect again this year, starting in late March. Last year it was frosty for the first few sessions, and there was still a roost of redwings present into mid-April. At this rate I think many of the birds will already be sitting on eggs by the time I start!
