Cut and snapped

All the trees below Hurst reservoir in Glossop seem to be being felled. The water level is falling and the contractors have moved into the main muddy area of the reservoir furthest from the Dam. That area is now churned up and has stakes and lots of red and white tapes between them flapping in the wind.

A few Mallards were still on the remaining water and the lone Whooper swan was sitting in the middle of the area of work. I wonder why it has not left for somewhere nicer.
