Combating Malnutrition, 1000 Days #Cambodia

IMPACT met this mother when she came to us as one of the women taking part in our '1000 Days' programme. The project cares for women and their babies from conception right through to a child's second birthday.

It aims to improve the diets of pregnant women, provide antenatal care and health support for infants. The period from conception to a child's second birthday is a critical time, and inadequate nutrition can cause irreparable damage to physical and mental development.

She now volunteers for IMPACT, helping to prepare nutritious food for other pregnant women and new mothers. IMPACT works with local people ,sharing knowledge and skills with community members to ensure that our programmes are as effective as possible.
