Spring Flowering Clematis

This clematis looks set to open very soon. The plant is covered in healthy buds such as this.

Exciting morning as we had to "flea" Merlot. He doesn't like it one little bit & afterwards tore around the house at a rate of knots before he left via the back door. He soon forgave us as a treat was given soon after which he couldn't resist.

Sunny morning but quite chilly.
