Colours and contrasts

Oystercatchers are always a bit obvious - big brash blousy noisy black and white birds with bright red trim - but here I though there was enough colour elsewhere to take their unsubtlety (if such a word exists). Every beach out here has them and they don't let you forget it.
Aside from a stroll on the beach, today was one of those frustrating IT days when the router refused to talk to the modem. It was one of those nightmares with all the wires neatly hidden away out of sight and consequentially out of reach. After much swearing and an hour, spaghetti junction had come to our living room. In the end I gave up and went and brought a new router from a really helpful IT shop in Balivanich - who says the Western Isles are out of touch! A shop in which the IT tecchies talk in a language you can almost understand - always a bonus.

PS If you look closely you will see one of the Oystercatchers is ringed but not by me!
