Basking....

....in the morning sun, ever so still and well camouflaged this little Katydid took a wee while to find.

I've discovered they lay their eggs in the soil which is why they keep returning to the one spot in my garden. They also like to eat the dying roses, so no de-heading in this part of the garden. Currently I have five Katydid's of various colours and sizes enjoying living on my miniature roses.

Home day today with not too much to say. Sun this morning, showers, sun and then rain. The temperature was 21C at noon which had dropped to a mere 8C by 3pm as the southerly came through.

Have a great weekend everyone :)

I'm not very good at working out the sex of these little insects, but he/she does look good in large :)
