Trove

When I was a boy, finding an old radio or stereo that didn't work anymore was akin to winning the lottery. All those buttons, dials, light bulbs and bits of wire could be salvaged and turned into anything your imagination could conjure up. Later, as my knowledge of electronic circuits grew, those bits could be recycled into simple devices.

Today I still stop and take a second look at discarded electronics. There is more of it now and it does not disassemble as easily; but there is still value in the raw material - just not as much of the creative kind.

Adjusted brightness, contrast and detail, then applied drama and grunge filters in Snapseed.
