Dragons' Teeth & Beach Huts, Studland Middle Beach

The so-called dragons' teeth are large concrete blocks constructed early in World War II to prevent enemy tanks from advancing inland in the event of an invasion.

The sandy dunes separating these beach huts from the sea have been severely eroded by the recent tempestuous high seas: vegetation which served to protect the dunes is now deposited on the beach.
