Yes, I realise there's nothing inherently startling about this picture. Except... it's nearly 6.30pm in February and IT'S STILL LIGHT OUTSIDE! One of the things I love most about Brussels is that we're just far east enough to be in the Central European Time zone, but still we're geographically far west enough to benefit from an extra hour of light in the evenings. Hurrah. If Scotland is the place of long summers (ahem, in daylight terms, that is; I'm not completely daft!) then Brussels is the place of long Februarys.
