King of Gastronomy

Arrived in Nice around 10am French time, a bit groggy as it had been an early start for both of us.

We are here for the Carnival as we have done for the past 12 years.

This is the King of the Carnival. The theme this year is Gastronomy so we expect to see lots of food related floats and frivolity.

The weather got progressively worse during the day and went from being overcast as you can see here to torrential rain, thunder and lightening.

Lets hope it improves for tomorrow and Sunday when we hope to see the Battle of the Flowers on Saturday afternoon and the Carnival Parade on Sunday.
