Snowdrop Festival

Our small town is hosting its very own Snowdrop Festival over this weekend, as part of the much larger national one. There are snowdrops everywhere you look and we went for a lovely walk this afternoon, following their trail. Over 10,000 new snowdrops were planted recently by volunteers and they look stunning.

The walk included a visit to the Potting Shed, the studio of local artist Roz Arno-Button, who also painted this lovely mural which is mounted on an old building in the town centre.

We noticed thousands of daffodils starting to bud beside the snowdrops, so we'll have to have another walk in a couple of weeks to see if they are out. That's if my legs have recovered by then:-)

Hope your weekend is dry and sunny too:-)
