Planes, trains & automobiles

A lot of the group left at 5am, fortunately we had a more leisurely 9am start. Snow chains were needed to make it up the hill to Mont Louis, but from there the temperature rose steadily for the next three hours as we drove into Barcelona.
Hire car returned we crossed the road into the worst run airport I've ever encountered - a comfortable 2hour gap became a nervous last minute rush. We had to argue over the weight of our bags as different check in's showed them anywhere between 17-21kg's, but finally we were sat on the plane, and astoundingly, took off on time.
Glasgow (Prestwick) couldn't have been more different - I think these small regional airports are the way to travel - I was first off the plane & literally 4 minutes later I was in baggage claim.
A train into Glasgow Central, a taxi to Tim's & the drive down the M6. 11hours door to door.
