Air quality

For a generally attractive small city, Perth has a surprising air quality problem. Atholl Street is the third worst in Scotland for PM10 (small particles) and tenth worst for nitrogen dioxide.

This picture was taken on breezy Queen's Bridge, where the air quality must be fine despite the queuing traffic, but this car with a major problem caught my eye. It was producing so much smoke that at first I thought it was on fire, and then I was amazed that the engine could still run.

This is another picture that I thought too poor to use in the original, but salvaged with Topaz Simplify.
