Fasching

Today was the local procession for Fasching - also known as Carneval.

It's not a tradition us Scots are familiar with, but seems to tie in with Lent and Easter.

Just hope I don't have to give up something for 6 weeks...

Anyway, lots of decorated floats, fancy dress, dancers, beer & free sweets. Fun for all.

Schools get a week's holiday.

Somehow we ended up with a glass of Prosecco, and as lunchtime boozing is not suited to me, it will be nap time shortly.
