Walkin' in the Rain

It never rains all day in the east, except today when it managed to keep going all day!

The dog, however doesn't mind the rain so we looked for some woods where we thought it would be marginally drier.

This is the Great Plantation, part of the Chalkland Way, which leads into Greenwick Dale. The whole area is a pheasant shoot, you could hear the guns in the distance.

The woods are looking very sad at the moment all gloomy and wet, the weather has taken its toll, broken trees and debris all over, difficult to believe that the land will heal itself by the summer!
