Colour on a grey day

Lots of indoor chores today but managed to get out briefly for a quick jaunt down to Twickenham, all preparations for a good thing.

The daffodils are a bit of an emergency blip but it is amazing how bright they can be on a dull day like today. I tried to capture my favourite tree (or is it a bush?), the magnolia, with buds ready to burst but it was just too windy.
