A Grey Day (Sciurus carolinensis)

Please look the other way if rodents are not your thing.

OK, so you are still reading this - You must have a strong stomach and be not easily upset.

Some time back, I blipped a brown rat and thought sufficient time had passed before I shocked you again by posting his arboreal cousin, the eastern tree rat which was introduced to the UK is recently as 1876.

The brown rat has an almost hairless tail has a bad press, and is loathed by many, but the grey tree rat has a very bushy tail which endears it to humans because it triggers their 'Ahhhh' factor. (here is a tip to 'X-factor' contestants - attach a bushy tail and you are on to a sure winner.

Whatever your opinions, I simply offer this blip as one of many recording the fauna and flora of my neighbourhood. Sorry if it is not to your liking.
