30 years and still going!

Tonight was the 30th anniversary meeting of the camera club. These three were at the original meeting of seven people on 12th March 1984.

Left to Right is Cath who helps arrange many things from models, locations and one of the main helpers with refreshments at meetings. In the middle is Len. As well as being a member all that time, Len was treasurer for 19 years. On the right is out honorary president, Brian. Many people know Brian - he was the local press photographer for countless years. He always has stories for us when he comes along - tonight was no exception.

I should also thank Anthea for arranging presents and also for bringing along a specially created celebration cake - decorated with "Bedworth & Exhall Camera Club - Celebrating 30 years of fun, friendship and excellent photography". That sums it up perfectly.

Brian is presenting Cath with a flowering plant and Len with a little something to commemorate his work - we got him a camera money box complete with 30 pennies - one for each year as a member.

We also had a fish and chip supper which went down really well. It has however been along evening of organising and getting things done to help the smooth running. I hope it all went down OK. Very tiring.

Just a quick update on last night - The image is of a stack of plastic cups, laid on one side and lit from a light creeping through the door from the room next door.
