Seeds

It was a wet day, not really raining, but it had been and would again. A few drops fell as I worked in the garden. The Penstemon should grow about a foot tall over the next few months and the Linaria will be 9 inches tall and a couple of weeks behind. The red and pastel trumpets of the penstemon should attract hummingbirds. Little Annas, ruby-throated and a few others. the Linaria will bring butterflies. We get a lot of pretty tansy moths with their bright red or orange or yellow spots on their wings, but few true butterflies so I will be looking to see what stops by. These are all planted in front of a clematis that will have apple blossom colored blooms a little later this spring and evergreen leaves.
