Bones

These animal bones adorn one of the walls in the Royal Dick building in the Summerhall venue in Edinburgh. From 1916 to 2011, the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies, locally known as the Dick Vet (after its founder, William Dick) was based here. In 2011, the Dick Vet moved to new premises south of Edinburgh.

The Summerhall site reopened as a hub for the arts and all things creative, and is also used as a venue during the Edinburgh Fringe. There is a tiny onsite brewery in Summerhall, brewing Barney's Beer (the brewer's name isn't Barney, but the beer is lovely!).
