Byron

G's Mum came to visit us for a few days. It was long overdue and we made the most of a long weekend, eating at some very nice places, and experiencing some pleasant surprises doing the tourist 'thing' around the city. The first evening was spent in Greenwich, being treated to some marvellous service at the local Byron restaurant. G and I don't actually go out for dinner that often, so it was a lovely treat. The drinks before and after were too, at least until the Friday Night Crowd got too rowdy. Oh I'm getting old (and am proud of it)!

G may get to see his Mum relatively frequently, travelling around the country as he's currently doing in his new role, but I don't get to spend much time with Karen at all and I really valued this. There's normally an occasion or other we all meet up together for, but this was all about taking things easy and having a good and proper visit.
