Tourist in my Own Town

You never visit famous landmarks when you live near them, do you? Some in London you can't avoid, such as Admiralty Arch here, or Tower Bridge (a favourite of mine). I'd never been to the Churchill War Rooms and Churchill Museum though. I'm not normally interested in WWII history, but our visit with G'a Mum was fascinating. We actually stayed three hours and never had any idea of the time.

The weather the rest of the day was lovely and we made the most of it, walking through St James' Park and down to the South Bank, where we enjoyed some wine at the absolutely rammed BFI. It may have been a busy and exhausting day, but it was certainly worth it.
