A busy day at my incubator account today. Totally a lone-wolf as the rep I work with is on vacation. Had a couple of meetings arranged to talk to customers who don't order through us and some that do but wanted to find out a bit of info on what they do on the chemistry side of things.

One of my loyal customers told me that a supply was trying to sell direct to them instead of through us (we bought them the business originally). Therefore I got another supplier that has stronger ties and more trust with us to come in and sample their items.

Also sorted out some confusion where another customer was saying we were $100 or more expensive per bottle of chemical compared to our competitor. He was thinking we were quoting per bottle where we were actually quoting per case (4 bottles). Something was up as the cases were under $300 normally so meant the competition were giving them money to take the chemicals. Not even they would do that!

At one point a got stuck in a stairwell as I was told I could get to the canteen without card access (which I don't have - I need to be escorted everywhere) but found both the stairs and lift required card access and even the door I had just come through also had a card to get back through. Thankfully I followed someone through the door to get back to where I was. All highly against protocol.

Chasing up leads all evening. A long and tiring day!
