Mysterious Mill

I was out seeing patients today, and on a road I'd never traveled on before when I spotted this old mill. Or not so old mill.

I'm not ot sure what kind of mill it is, really, or the story that could be behind it.

It's no longer in the water, (was it ever?) and what's up with the gutter thing coming from the hill behind the mill...note I said coming from the hill!. Literally.

Pretty surreal, so I thought a slightly surreal HDR look was a good fit.
