Virtue Rewarded!

I keep getting it wrong - out when it's dull and indoors painting when the weather is fine. Still, I got quite a lot done today. I thought I'd have a quick walk before it went dark, but I didn't get very far, as I spotted something in the field near our house. As I'd rushed out, I didn't have my bins with me, and had just grabbed my bridge camera, but fortunately it has a powerful zoom, so I was able to establish that the two birds in the field were indeed curlews. So excited! We saw great flocks of them last week in Scotland, but having them on your doorstep in much more special! I thought about returning home for my long lens, but I thought they might decide to leave. Will have to see if they are still there tomorrow!
