Back to a more traditional Western Isles blip

It is not often I drive along a road I haven't been on before in the Western Isles. In fact the last time I can remember so doing was when we drove down the road to our current house having bought it "blind" over the internet.
Today however after pottering about doing various chores in Balivanich, we drove down to the road end at Aird Mhor on South Uist and there was this black (well white really...) croft perched on the edge of the sea.
However sunny it might look, there was a strong cold wind and whilst one minute it was sunny the next minute the hailstones were biting into one's face and indeed head now that one is increasingly follicly challenged.
Either way the splendour of the setting made it worthwhile. A stunning spot!
