It was an exciting day in Annapolis - the House of Delegates passed our bill to ban the sale of 190 proof alcohol in Maryland. I brought along a bottle of Everclear for a photo op.

It shouldn't be long now before the bill is passed by the Senate and on to the Governor's desk. Believe it or not, college students mix this with punch or juice and fill garbage cans with it to get as drunk as possible as quickly as possible and for as little money as possible. This is one small step to reduce the binge drinking among MD college students and the black-outs, sexual assaults, and injuries that come with it.
