Harbour Paraphernalia

Last night we ate in a lovely little restaurant right down at the waterside overlooking the harbour in Gardenstown.
Had it not been for the log fire and the plate glass windows, not to mention the howling gale outside, we could almost have imagined we were at a taverna on a Greek Island.
The food was simple but beautifully cooked and well presented, and with the cosy ambience, it surpussed any of the meals we have had in the ultra expensive hotels in Edinburgh.

This morning with the weather up north distinctly warmer and much less windy, we bade farewell to this picturesque part of the Moray Firth coast and motored south, visiting Forfar on the way to visit a family member who has had a long hospital stay and whom we were relieved to find, finally on the mend.

It was rather depressing that the weather seemed to regress the nearer we got to home........ I guess spring hasn't really sprung after all.
