Calmed and Quieted

"Surely I have calmed and quieted my soul,
Like a child quieted at its mother's breast;
Like a child that is quieted is my soul."

My sister taught me that according to tradition the actions or sacrifices one makes for Lent does not include Sundays so there is no poem today.

We spent a delightful day with loved ones - our son and our friends, Seth and Tarah and their baby, Ruby, who we met for the first time. She is such a peaceful and happy baby!
We had brunch together, consisting of steel cut oatmeal with all the trimmings and a delicious Spanish style omelette - and coffee of course.
