Balkello - Gateway to the Sidlaws

A beautiful day and my wife, Eleanor, felt well enough to take a trip out in the sunshine. We went to Balkello Community Woodland (a few miles north of Dundee) which is termed 'The Gateway to the Sidlaws' which is the range of hills protecting the north of Dundee. The highest peak is Craigowl Hill, which is 1493 ft. (455 m) high and stands at the eastern end of the Sidlaws.

I took many photographs and had difficulty choosing one. This one seemed to be the most pleasing with the pool and reflections, and Auchterhouse and Balluderon Hills, which are immediately next to Craigowl.
