The Old Rosslyn Inn.

This is the original Roslin inn, it dates from 1660ish when this track wound its way down, past the graveyard and through The Glen to London. It was, apparently, the main road from Edinburgh to London. The building is now available for holiday lets but, in the past, has played host to the famous and influential including: the Wordsworths, Rabbie Burns, Walter Scott & Sam Johnson; some of them engraving their signatures on the window glass.

I can find very little about it other than what’s on the plaque on the wall though I’m sure I have a book somewhere ....
It’s a pity about the paint.
