The Funny Flashpoint

What’s your point today? That you had an early rise and went swimming, while it was cold outside and the sun remained hidden? No. So what may be your message, which is not yet contained in the photo here above? What, you are seriously telling here, you don’t have any? Or at least that you are not yet sure about the way how to write it down? What “No”?

Now please, if your point may be that there IS No Point at all in Life and Death, why do you go on boring us with those amateur pictures and would-be self reflecting journal notes, uh? Now stop playing games, just BE honest and make yourself absolutely clear, what it was you discovered, learned, saw, remembered of your one and only Life. What made this day worth living your life?

Ok, here I would first mention our friendship with Cor, who came over and helped us greatly in repairing the kitchen faucet. We are grateful for Cor being part of our life, doing special things together. But also, we enjoyed our common walk over the sunny beach, this afternoon. The company of a dear friend, makes life sweet and worth living. That is point one, for sure.

As we were walking, I stayed somewhat behind, absorbing myself in the tumbling rhythms of the surf. Waiting for that unknown event that would break through the vast openness between earth, sea and sky. There I saw that beautiful formation of Arrowlike Pole amidst flooded basalt stones. But that would mean only a static scheme. Boring. Even with beaming, glittering colours.

All of a sudden this hunch came. You will remember what you did as a kid, wanting to have this wonderfully amusing streetview, hanging head down over a bench or fence. There goes the milkman with his car “upside down”....Jee! Thats fun. So in a flash, I turned my back to this boring scene, bend and made several pictures in the blind, head down between my legs. And the funny thing is, that my camera ignores any up- or down-side, all this turning around.

Even if you stay head down and turn your camera the other way round, the world you want to picture in reverse stays as it normally is. So my funny flash-point of this day is: you may play as your inner child wishes, the world will stubbornly stay outside your imaginary play, Youghey..!
