Handlebar Head

Lovely day after the mist had cleared. This planthopper jumped onto an old, rusty, dinghy launching-trolley and caught my eye, even though it is quite tiny.

I couldn't make up my mind what to Blip so asked a mate. I have a great pic of one of my long-tailed-tits with a beak full of wool and I also got an ichneumon wasp but he noticed the weird appendages on the head of the 'hopper. Being a bit of a fantasist he said he could imagine riding on its back gripping the handlebars. :) We think it might be Stenocranus minutus.
