Rodents rule

Up and up

It's a library! What an inspiring building to visit - lots of comfy places to sit, kids can run around, the books are well placed and it's full of light.

We took our time getting out of the hostel this morning, but that's understandable after a 3.30am bedtime. We ate as much toast and drank as much coffee as we could stomach, then headed out into the sunshine. The square by the station included the library where we had lunch in the sun (I even got a little sunburnt). We popped into the museum and I gawped at the pterosaur skeleton in the entrance - it's huge! On the fifth floor, we watched a 10-minute film in the Planetarium, only to realise that a 10-minute film takes 25 minutes once the introductions, settling down and shuffling out happens. We were left with eight minutes to catch our train home. We raced down the five flights of stairs, grabbed bags and coats from the cloakroom, ran across the square and caught the train with a minute to spare. Fabulous.

The train journey went really quickly as we compared dancing notes and chatted about West Norwood. I was home in no time.

A fab weekend all round with lovely folk.
