RED-BROWED FINCH ..........

.... popped into what seems to be my personal "wetlands"!
Nobody around again other than the council mowing the oval grass adjacent to this area.

If you are not aware the finch varieties are quite a small and very elusive bird, with many species spread all over Australia. These being the Red-Browed Finch, and the ole WIKI explains they are found in groups like I found today of up to 20.

They were feeding off the grasses on the other side of the wetland so you will need to click L to get a better view.

Again, I was hoping for a dragon fly on the water but only one flew in and flew out while I waited, so our finches win the day!

Enjoy, and have a look in LARGE.
