Once Upon a Time in Ancient Egypt

In ancient Egypt, it is said, cats were worshipped. But did you know that in ancient Egypt, crittergators were worshipped . . . by cats?

Old-fashioned modes of travel, the conversation:

This is a very cool way to travel! Um . . . so is this officially a palanquin or a litter?

It must be a palanquin. Litters have something to do with baby cats! And we're NOT baby cats!

The one in front said something about making us an offering to Bast. Who is Bast? Is it somebody important? Do we have to dress up? Will they make us an offer we can't refuse?

Critterpatra . . . yes, I have officially become Critterpatra, queen of denial . . .

The song: The Bangles, Walk Like an Egyptian.
