On yer Tweed Bike!

I had a meeting at The Beacon Arts Centre in. Greenock today and my friend, Lynne, curator of The George Wyllie Foundation, asked if she could put a tweed bike in the back of my car.
As you do...
Such is life in the world of Wyllie.
The bike, which was fashioned by the late George Wyllie from steel and reclaimed Harris Tweed, is headed in the direction of Dovecot tapestry studios in Edinburgh, where it will be part of a forthcoming exhibition.
George's daughter, Elaine, whose legs are on the left (sorry Elaine!) told Lynne and I that George made a suit from the green tweed on the frame.
These days it's commonplace to see handbags and purses covered in recycled Harris Tweed, complete with label.
George, as always, was way ahead of the curve...
