Cake

10 years ago today my then boyfriend came to England to visit me. It was his second visit. A long distance relationship, Tucson to London, had been played out over the past almost 2 years. This time he brought a ring with him, a lavender sapphire and diamond ring, asked me to be his wife, and I of course said yep.
10 years on we did some productive chore stuff, ate at a lovely vegetarian cafe, enjoyed the sunshine and bought a gorgeous magnolia tree in memory of my gorgeous nan.
Later we ate cake. Appropriately iced little lemon magic cakes.
