Unclear

I was back in the hospital this morning, back in the orthopaedic clinic despite being told two weeks ago that the surgeon 'didn't want to see me again'. I was surprised to be called back in, but thought when I saw the instruction to wear loose clothing that perhaps I was to have another test done.

Things went as per the usual routine and I was sent off for an X-ray. That's when questions were asked. The X-ray technician remembered me from the last time and wondered why I was having another X-ray done again so soon. I told her what I'd been told last time and she went off to talk to the orthopaedic team. The X-ray didn't happen, the technician confirmed that something untoward had shown up last time, and thought that perhaps a full report had only come through now. As it happened, it was just a case of the surgeon and his team doing a review and confirming that I'd been referred to a vascular specialist. Until that appointment comes through, I'll just have to put up with the pain and walk as best I can. So, no progress.

It was a dull and misty day, and I was in a rush home anyway to work on the quarterly magazine. Stopped in traffic on the Samuel Beckett Bridge I rolled down the window and took a shot of the misty prospect towards the mouth of the Bay. I'd already got a close-up of a peeling wall, so I guess it wasn't too surprising that I should combine them.

Mind you, I also toyed with the idea of doing another kaleidoscope blip using the peeling wall. This is the original photo, and I tried two different approaches, ending up with Kaleidopeel 1 and Kaleidopeel 2.

All in all, I think I prefer the misty view of Dublin Docklands.
